Sample Policy

Samples are subject to stock availability. A standard online sample order is limited to a maximum of six sample units, and to one unit per product variant/colour.

You can combine multiple products in one sample order, including different colours of the same product (for example, two bottles in different colours, one notebook, one pen, one bag and one mug).

If you need more than six samples, multiples of the same variant, a branded or pre-production sample, please contact us at hello@ecosourcetrade.com and we'll be happy to help.

Each sample product is priced independently, calculated from the applicable 50-unit trade price, with an additional sample handling margin applied to account for the cost of supplying individual units.

A minimum sample product charge applies:

• New Zealand: NZD $5.00
• Australia: AUD $5.00
• United States: USD $3.50

The sample price shown at checkout is the price applicable to your approved trade market and currency.

Freight is charged separately from the sample product price.

Sample freight is charged once per sample order/shipment, not per sample product, on the basis that the samples can reasonably ship together as one parcel.

For New Zealand and Australia, that single charge uses the highest applicable freight class present in your sample order. If any item is oversized or requires manual freight, sample freight is shown as to be confirmed and we will confirm it with you before dispatch.

For United States sample orders, freight is currently to be confirmed.

If you place a qualifying bulk order for the same product within 30 days of the sample order, the sample product price can be credited against that order. A qualifying bulk order means an order for the same product that meets that product's minimum order quantity (MOQ).

Freight charges are not credited or refunded.

The credit is limited to the amount paid for the sample product itself, excludes freight and other charges, and can only be used once.

The credit must be applied to an order for the same product and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another product or account.

Eligible credits are matched automatically when you build your cart and are shown as a separate line before you submit the order. A credit is eligible where it is within 30 days, on the same trade account, for the same product, in the same currency, and has not already been used. Credits attached to a sample order that is cancelled or refunded are voided.

Samples can be paid for securely online by card.

Approved account customers may also submit a purchase order where their Ecosource Trade account has been approved for invoice/credit terms.

Entering or uploading a purchase order does not automatically create credit terms. Where an account does not have approved payment terms, payment will be required before the sample is dispatched.

Sample delivery times vary depending on product availability, destination and supplier location. Any delivery timeframe provided is indicative rather than guaranteed.

If a sample is unavailable or there is an issue fulfilling your request, we will contact you.

Samples are supplied for product evaluation and are generally non-returnable and non-refundable, except where the product supplied is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or where required by applicable law.

Samples are intended to provide a representation of the product. Minor variations in colour, material, finish, dimensions, packaging or other characteristics may occur between samples and subsequent production stock.

Where colour, material or another specification is critical to your client's order, please confirm this with Ecosource Trade before placing the bulk order.
